Indian students put currency notes in answer sheets to bribe examiners
NEW DELHI: In what is being seen as an awkward incident, 12th grade students in India’s Utter Pradesh put currency notes in their answer sheets to grease palm of the examiners in order to get at least passing marks.
The video of teachers showing notes on camera was shared by Indian news agency ANI.
However, teachers said, according to the agency, “We are giving marks only on merit. None of us are accepting the money found in the answer sheets.”
Recently, a video went viral wherein a miscreant openly showing his gun is seen inside an examination hall for facilitating the students to cheat. The incident took place at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University in Agra. Vice Chancellor Dr Arvind Kumar Dixit said that the matter would be probed with the help of administration and police force.
