Following a video making rounds on the social media, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has taken notice of complaints of passengers at a flight about non-functioning of air condition causing suffocation to people inside the jet.

The takeoff schedule of PIA flight PK-750 (Paris to Islamabad) was reportedly delayed for two hours on August 3 when the passengers had already boarded the plane.

As the time passed, people began to lose their cool and, as seen in the video, a crying mother turns up urging the crew to open the gate because she was carrying a one-month-old infant. The child also reportedly passed out due to suffocation.

“For God’s sake, tell them to open the door,” the woman urged the plane staff. However, the staff refused to do so.

However, the security staff can be heard replying, “If it was in my control, I would have done that. The airport staff is responsible for this problem. They are the handling agents. Until a new flight plan is designed, the plane cannot take off.”

PIA, in its statement, said the inquiry has been ordered into the incident. It also clarified that flight delay was just 30 minutes.
