Los Angeles: Police are investigating the disappearance of the armored suit Robert Downey Jr. wore in 2008’s “Iron Man” after it went missing from a prop storage warehouse.

It seems like the L.A.P.D are to avenge the theft of iron man suit worn in the first Iron Man movie. The worth of the suit in question is estimated at $431,000.

According to a police spokesman the red-and-gold Super suit vanished from a prop storage warehouse in the LA between February and April 25 but was only reported stolen on Tuesday night.

He said that the owners of the business last remembered seeing the costume back in February, but noticed it was missing when they looked for it on Tuesday.

The suit was not needed for the Avengers Infinity War as it was upgraded in the recent edition.

The character was developed by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, Don Heck and Jack Kirby, and first appeared in a 1963 Marvel comic book.

He is set to play the character again in next year’s fourth Avengers film.

In all seriousness, it’s no surprise that the suit is pretty hot property, given just how iconic the Iron Man franchise has become.

Whoever stole the suit must be a real Marvel fan. Sooner or later the suit will resurface as who could stop themselves showing off a bit in the Iron Man suit?
