Six-year-old ‘abducted’ from Bilal Colony found safe in Liaquatabad

KARACHI: A six-year-old child who was allegedly abducted from Bilal Colony has been found safe in Liaquatabad area of Karachi, ARY News reported on Tuesday night.

The child named Huzaifa was allegedly kidnapped by armed riders from outside his house in Bilal Colony area earlier in the day. The minor’s parents had told police that he was playing outside his residence after coming back from school when he was abducted in front of his playmates.

SSP Irfan Baloch told media that a citizen found the child from near a hotel in Liaquatabad and informed the area police.The police officer added that the child is now in police custody and will be handed over to his parents after legal formalities.

A large number of area residents gathered outside the Bilal Colony police station after the alleged abduction and demanded recovery of the minor.

The protest turned violent after residents also blocked area’s main artery the Godhra road and demanded quick action from the law enforcement agency against the abductors.
