KARACHI: Weather turned pleasant and cold, as various parts of Karachi on Sunday received first rain of the winter season, ARY News reported.
As per details, city’s area of Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Steel Town, Pipri and adjoining areas received heavy rain which turned the atmosphere extremely pleasant and significant increase in the cold.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department latest spell of rain to last till Tuesday in the city.
Earlier, MET office, had predicted showers at the scattered places of city as overcast weather is being witnessed in Karachi since morning.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department had predicted rain at isolated places in Karachi, Sukkur, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Multan, D.I. Khan, Bannu and Makran divisions during the next 24 hours.
Cloudy weather is expected in northern parts of the country, with rain likely at scattered places in Quetta, Zhob, Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Peshawar, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, D.G. Khan divisions, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
