KARACHI: Karachi is witnessing again soaring temperatures as mercury is expected at maximum temperature of 37 degree Celsius in the port city on Monday (today), ARY News reported.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department weather will remain partly cloudy in Karachi, while humidity will remain 60-70 percent in the morning and 50-60 % in the evening.
The wind direction in Karachi will remain westerly or southwesterly with wind speed of 10 nautical miles per hour, the met office said.
Seasonal low lies over northeast Balochistan, according to the weather department. A westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of Pakistan.
Met Office forecast dust-thundershower or rainfall with gusty winds today at scattered places in Malakand, Hazara, Kohat, Bannu, D.I.Khan, Zhob, Sibbi, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Multan, Bahawalpur, D.G.Khan divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan. Hot and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the counry.
Highest maximum temperatures in the country yesterday recorded at Sibbi with 48°Celsius, while 46°C at Jaccobabad and Rohri, the met office reported.
