Karachi: Three people killed in two separate road mishaps

KARACHI: At least three people were killed in two separate traffic acciddents on Thursday night in the city, ARY News reported.

Two motorcyclists were killed when their bike collided with a rickshaw in Karsaz area of the metropolis. The deceased were identified as Haseeb and 22-year-old Ateeq.

In a separate incident, an over speeding vehicle crushed a motorcyclist near Keamari gate number 15, in port area of the city. The identity of deceased could not be established so far.

Earlier this week, 10 people including nine women and a minor were killed and three others injured when a passenger van collided with a truck on Tando Muhammad Khan road near Husri in lower Sindh.

The rescue officials informed that the unfortunate incident occurred after a truck collided with a Suzuki van carrying workers of a private company, killing at least 10 people including nine women and a child.

Three women were also injured in the mishap.

A rise in number of road accidents has been witnessed in the province mainly owing to poor infrastructure of roads, dim or no street lights, violation of traffic rules, besides rash and underage driving.
