ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif on Friday called on Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) supremo Asif Ali Zardari and his son Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to refrain from making excessive criticism on Nawaz Sharif, otherwise a retort from PML-N leadership would pose a harm to political community.

Taking on twitter, the PML-N leader said scorning Nawaz Sharif would eventually hurt political community.

“Our capacity does not permit us for it [making redundant statements], may Allah keep him happy,” Khawaja Asif said

He kept on saying that Zardari Sahab is a wise politician and must have understood the indications.

The foreign minister’s tweet has come in backdrop of PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari’s refusal to meet PML-N president Nawaz Sharif followed by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s statement disparaging the embattled Nawaz Sharif.

Earlier, Zardari refused to meet former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, foiling the latter’s attempts for a meeting fourth time within three months.

On Thursday, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari declined an invitation by PML-N saying that they are in no mood to talk with ousted PM Nawaz Sharif.

The PPP chairman while speaking to reporters said that democracy was instead being threatened by Nawaz Sharif, who has a track record of conspiring against democratic governments.

“Democracy is being threatened by Mian sahab, PPP has given immense sacrifices for its sake,” he said adding that Sharif was an opportunist and was looking for his personal gains.
