KP govt approves key vacancies in educational board for females

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government on Monday announced to appoint women on two key posts of provincial educational board in a bid to facilitate female students, ARY News reported.

The provincial government has approved openings on the posts of Assistant Secretary (woman) and Assistant Control (woman) to hire female candidates.

Advisor to KP Chief Minister on Education Zia Ullah Khan Bangash said the approval was granted to facilitate female students and encourage women in education sector.

He said the successful candidates on those posts would be in-charge of female students affairs. They would guide and find solutions for the issues facing girls, he added.

Zia Ullah Khan Bangash said millions of rupees were being spent for provision of facilities to public schools.

He said new hiring were being made to meet the requirement of number of teachers.

The advisor to KP chief minister said all preparations were completed for annual exams of matriculation.

The federal government was spending more than Rs4 bn on promotion of quality education in the newly merged tribal districts, said a spokesman of Directorate of Education tribal Districts on March 8.

The spokesperson had said that the government had recently completed more than sixty projects in education sector in the tribal districts.
