‘We could’ve executed Jadhav’: Sheikh Rasheed silences Indian TV anchor
LAHORE: Schooling an Indian TV anchor, Rahul Kanwal, Foreign Minister for Railway Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad said “Pakistan would have executed Kulbhushan and sent his body wrapped in an Indian flag.”
During a TV interview with an Indian TV channel, the anchor who wanted the Pakistan government to act as judge and jury, and execute people accused by India for masterminding the 2008 Mumbai attack and other terror attacks, was silenced by Sheikh Rasheed’s tit-for-tat reply.
“Had executing someone been a simple procedure, then we would have hanged Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav in the first place and his body would have been sent to you wrapped in India’s flag,” Rasheed lambasted.
The minister further advised India against issuing war threats and warned them of dire consequences if they ever opt for aggression against Pakistan.
Separately, during a press conference in Lahore on Saturday, the federal minister said the Modi government is responsible for creating a war hysteria in the wake of Pulwama attack.
Referring to a recent electoral defeat of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in five Indian states, Rasheed said “Modi wants to take revenge of his loss from Pakistan.”
The Indian prime minister is provoking religious extremists, he added. “If India attacks then we will pay all our debts in one go, along with the interest,” the minister sternly remarked.
