KARACHI: A man was killed while resisting robbery in North Karachi, while police arrested four accused in various incidents.
A man Gulzar Ahmed tried to resist a robbery bid in his house in North Karachi and was killed in firing by the criminals, police said.
In another incident, Saeedabad Police arrested two accused and captured tobacco and beetlenuts, smuggled from Balochistan.
According to ASP Tariq Nawaz, the arrested men were carrying smuggled tobacco and beetlenuts from Balochistan to Karachi.
Moreover, police nabbed two suspects allegedly involved in street crimes, in the jurisdiction of Gulshan Iqbal police station.
The accused were fleeing after snatching purse from a woman, police officials said. Illegal weapons and snatched valuables were captured from the two arrested men.
