ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb on Friday said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will devise a strategy in the wake of Supreme Court’s verdict in the Panama Papers case after consulting with legal experts.

She was speaking to reporters outside the Supreme Court when she said that the apex court’s judgment with regard to disqualification of the premier has disappointed her.

Calling PML-N as one of the mainstream political parties in the country, she said nobody can deny it’s existence as the party has a large number of workers.

She further said that the party workers’ support and love for Nawaz Sharif would remain intact no matter whoever becomes the new prime minister. “Nawaz Sharif will continue to rule the hearts of public, even after being disqualified to hold his office,” Marriyum added.

The Supreme Court earlier today disqualified Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in a unanimous verdict in the Panamagate case.

The apex court declared Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif ineligible to rule in its historic judgement after corruption charges against him and and his family for stashing wealth abroad beyond known sources of income.

The court also ordered  that all cases of the Sharif family including PM Nawaz Sharif be referred to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) within six weeks.
