ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Noorul Haq Qadri, said religious minorities were enjoying complete freedom in the country as Islam preaches respect and tolerance towards all other religions, ARY News reported.
Speaking at a programme here, Qadri said Pakistan was a home to all those living in the country. “We are for Pakistan and Pakistan is for us,” he added. He made this statement in connection to Holi celebrations by the Hindu community in the country.
He said our religion preached love and respect and “we will continue doing so.”

The minister reiterated that Islam preached respecting all other religions.
Two days ago, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail lauded the contributions of Hindu community towards the progress of Pakistan.
Imran Ismail took part in Holi celebrations on Sunday and said that the minorities were celebrating their religions festivals freely which reflected the ideology of Pakistan. He said that all the minorities had equal and complete religious freedom in the country and called for joint efforts by all segments of the society to put the country on the path of progress and prosperity.
The governor said that the current government was providing every possible cooperation and assistance to the Hindu community.
