SADIQABAD: A woman and her daughter died after consuming poisoned yogurt in Punjab’s Sadiqabad city on Tuesday, ARY News reported.
27-year-old Fatima, a resident of Baloch Colony, mixed poison in yogurt and got two of her children ingest before consuming it herself.
After the incident, the woman, her daughter Aliya, 6, and son Muhammad Arshad, 8, were rushed to a hospital, where doctors pronounced Fatima and her daughter dead.
Whereas, the boy has been listed as being in critical condition. The deceased woman’s eldest daughter didn’t ingest the poisoned food and therefore remained safe.
Fatima’s husband said he along with his wife and children had been residing with his in-laws.
At the time of the incident, no elder was present at the house to stop her from resorting to such an extreme act.
