MQM announces not to collect hides/ skins this year

“We depend on Allah (SWT) to fulfill all welfare expenditures of this month. We only have two sources of collecting funds – Muttahida Qaumi Fund and Khidmat Khalq Foundation (KKF),” he said while addressing a press conference in Karachi.
He said social welfare activities of MQM were not hidden from anybody. KKF and MQM was being reorganized now after scrutiny of workers.
He said we are ensuring that no irresponsible act was done from our workers. We should not give criminal elements a chance to take shelter of MQM.
The MQM leader said Zakat, Fitra and hides/ skins of sacrificial animals were source of funds for MQM. However, MQM will not collect hides/ skins for welfare works the following year.
“MQM is accused of snatching animal hides, while last year MQM’s trucks full of hides were stopped and were handed over to other welfare organisations,” he said.
He said the decision of not collecting hides of sacrificial animals this year has been taken with mutual consent of KKF trustees.
