MQM-P to achieve goal for which Pakistan was created: Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui

KARACHI: Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui on Saturday said the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) would achieve the goal for which Pakistan was created, ARY News reported.

“Pakistan has been made by us and only we can run it,” Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said while addressing a public gathering in Karachi.

He said we were lucky to have got freedom. Pakistan was achieved after great sacrifices, he said.

The federal minister said one valued that thing for which he gave sacrifice. He spoke for revoking quota system in the province.

He also asked the crowd if they still believed that the MQM-P was divided.

Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar said issues of Karachi could not be resolved until work was done jointly. He said despite difficulties the local government representatives were working by remaining within the system. He also demanded to treat Karachi differently.

MQM-P leader Khawaja Izharul Hassan demanded jobs for the people of Karachi and Hyderabad. He hoped that status of the MQM-P would be understood.

MQM-leader Faisal Sabzwari lashed out at the Sindh government for bad governance in urban areas of the province.
