KARACHI: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) investigation probing allegations of financial impropriety against Sharif family has been provided with details of the family’s bank accounts, sources told ARY News on Saturday.

According to details, NAB has acquired documents from different institutions and details of several bank accounts from the State Bank of Pakistan, including bank accounts of Nawaz Sharif’s sons Hasan Nawaz, Hussain Nawaz and daughter Maryam Nawaz.

The investigation team has also acquired details of their closed bank accounts and credit vouchers.

The bank accounts in the name of Sharif family members are open in six private banks, said the sources.

NAB has to file references against members of Sharif family by September 8.

SC allows JIT members to record statements

On the other hand, apex court has allowed the Panamagate JIT members to record their statements before NAB.

Last week, NAB had filed an application before the court, seeking permission to record the statements of the members of the JIT headed by Wajid Zia.

The application was submitted to Justice Ijazul Ahsan, the court’s monitoring judge for the implementation of its July 28 verdict.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan on July 28 removed prime minister Nawaz Sharif from office in a unanimous verdict.

SC’s larger bench had unanimously deemed PM Sharif unfit for holding office and said that it will also order an accountability court to open references against him and his family.
