NAB grants permission of family meeting with Shehbaz Sharif
LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has granted permission to members of Sharif family for a meeting with incarcerated former chief minister of Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif, ARY News reported on Saturday.
According to sources, the NAB authorities had approved a meeting of Sharif family with Shehbaz Sharif.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif and Mariam Nawaz will meet Shehbaz Sharif.
The names of Hamza Shehbaz, Nusrat Shehbaz and other members of the family, were sent to NAB authorities for the meeting.
According to sources, Nawaz Sharif will discuss the political situation of the country with younger Sharif who is the Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly and President of the PML-N.
The two Sharifs are also expected to discuss the accountability cases against them and the matters of the party.
Shehbaz Sharif facing corruption charges in a number of cases. The accountability watchdog had arrested Shehbaz Sharif, over his alleged involvement in a multi-billion rupees housing scam, the Ashiyana-e-Iqbal Housing Project in October.
