SWABI: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Saturday said former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had been tricked by his brother and President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shehbaz Sharif, ARY News reported.

“The younger brother played a trick on ‘the Godfather of corruption’ asking him to return to Pakistan assuring that millions of people would resort to streets to welcome him, while when he came back, the airport wore a deserted look,” he said while addressing a crowd in Swabi area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said Shehbaz Sharif was hiding in his car last night as some four to five thousands supporters of the PML-N took to streets.

“Shehbaz appeared extremely delighted imagining that now it was he and his son Hamza’s turn (to rule). Now, he would be chilling in an AC room after sending his brother to jail,” he said.

Imran apprised that a reference was being proceeded in court against him for money embezzlement in 56 companies.

He warned the former chief minister Punjab that it was his turn to go to prison. “Shehbaz will also meet his brother in jail very soon.”

“We will make Metro Bus Project corruption public against him,” he said.

Condemning the dismal incident of suicide bomb blast in Balochistan which took about 130 lives including of Balochistan Awami Party leader Siraj Raisani’s, he said he was feeling very bad at heart.

The PTI chief said the incidents of terrorism were hatched by foreign powers living in the country and abroad.
