LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on Friday, reacting to the arrival of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz, said that it is now necessary to bring back the looted wealth.

The PTI chairman, addressing a campaign rally, said that a plane is coming from Abu Dhabi carrying the convicted prime minister, and now it was necessary that that plundered wealth should be returned to the country.

“A plane is coming from Abu Dhabi carry Mujrim-e-Azam (the great criminal). Now he should return the looted Rs300 billion,” he said.

Imran said that neither Nawaz Sharif or Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari can eliminate corruption, and both have only indebted the nation with exorbitantant foreign loans.

He said that half of Pakistan’s earning is gobbled by corruption, and the rupee has depreciated from sixty rupees to Rs125 against the US dollar.

He said public parks have been occupied and it is necessary to save them from land grabbers, while large buildings are being constructed but the sewerage system is in shambles. He said that only the poor come to government hospitals.

He also expressed serious concerns over the looming crisis. He said the education system was in shambles and students in public schools can move forward, while ninety percent of student at Namal College Mianwali are studying on scholarships.

However, both Nawaz Sharif and Zardari have taken turns repetitively but have been unable to make any changes.
