Nawaz meets Shehbaz to discuss current political situation

ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister, Nawaz Sharif Monday met Shehbaz Sharif at the Ministers’ Enclave, declared a sub-jail by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

The brothers duo discussed the current political situation of the country and matters related to the party during the meeting.

Strategy for the ongoing national assembly session also came under discussion and it was also decided to contact other opposition parties.

Earlier today, a medical board, formed on the request of the NAB to examine Shehbaz Sharif, declared him fit after a detailed check-up.

After several tests, the medical board of the Polyclinic found no abnormality in blood pressure, electrocardiography and ultrasound tests. The team of doctors later submitted the medical fitness certificate of Mr. Shehbaz to the NAB.

The Sharif brothers in their last meeting held on October 30, decided not to attend the multi party moot convened by Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman.

The meeting of top leaders of PML-N was also attended by other senior party leaders including Raja Zafarul Haq, Hamza Shehbaz, Ayaz Sadiq and Khawaja Asif.

As per details, former premier Nawaz Sharif further deliberated on the current political situation and future course of action with his incarcerated brother.

The PML-N president is in NAB’s custody since October 5 in connection to the Ashiana Iqbal Housing Scheme case.

Mr. Sharif is currently incarcerated in NAB’s sub-jail in the federal capital as he is on a transitory remand till November 6.
