ISLAMABAD: The Sharif brothers – Nawaz and Shehbaz – decided against attending the all parties conference (APC) convened by Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman on October 31.

The key decision was taken on Tuesday during the meeting of brothers duo at the residence of Shehbaz Shairf in Minister’s enclave which is declared as his sub-jail.

Nonetheless, a delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will attend the APC called by Jamiat Ulema Islam-F chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman.

The meeting of top leaders of PML-N was also attended by other senior party leaders including Raja Zafarul Haq, Hamza Shehbaz, Ayaz Sadiq and Khawaja Asif.

During the meeting, it was decided that the PML-N delegation led by Haq would participate in the APC and the former ruling party would work side by side with the other opposition parties on issues of national importance.

According to details, former premier Nawaz Sharif further deliberated on the current political situation and future course of action with his incarcerated brother.

On the other hand, Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has said that he, along with his party, will participate in the APC.

Following a momentary meeting between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz president Shehbaz Sharif and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari during the National Assembly session on Monday, the announcement was made by the PPP chief of attending the awaited conference.

Earlier, Zardari had fully expressed his willingness to attend the APC on the invitation of his old political ally Fazl.
