Nisar Khuhro appointed as PPP President Sindh

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday appointed senior minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro as President of the party in Sindh.

The decision was made after long deliberations and consultation with senior leaders and coordination committee members, who nominated him to replace former Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah.

This was revealed by Advisior to Chief Minister on information Maulabux Chandio during a press conference at the PPP Media Cells where he was flanked by Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah and other party leaders.

Chandio said that genuine leaders always take challenging jobs and make historical decisions. Therefore, Bilawal had dissolved party provincial organisation and asked called for intra-party elections.

He paid rich tribute to former PPP Sindh President and ex-chief minister Qaim Ali Shah for his untiring support and services.

Speaking on the occasion, Murad Ali Shah said that although he was born a political but he started taking active participation in politics in 2002  when Khohro was the parliamentary leader in the Sindh Assembly.

He said that he has learned a lot from the party two seniors, Qaim Ali Shah and Nisar Khuhro and hold them as with great esteem.

He said that 2018 would be the year of general elections and vowed that PPP would sweep the elections with the overwhelming support from the masses.

The newly elected PPP Sindh Chapter President Nisar Ahmed Khohro said that as Bilawal has placed a huge responsibility on his shoulder, and he would use his best efforts to reach every citizen in the province and make Karachi a strong constituency of the party.

A rally was taken out in Larkana led by mayor Aslam Shaikh to congratulate Nisar Khuhro on being appointed as the provincial party president. The rally was taken out from Qaim Shah shrine to Pakistan Chowk where they raised party slogans and appreciated Bilawal Bhutto for his decision.
