Nishwa’s father threatens to protest if demands were not met
KARACHI: Qaiser, father of Nishwa, a nine-month-old baby girl, who died after being administered wrong injection at Karachi’s private hospital, Darul Sehat, has threatened to protest, if his demands were not met till tomorrow (Saturday), ARY News reported on Friday.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi, he thanked media for highlighting the issue of injustice happened with his family, that ended up in death of his daughter.
Detailing the demands, Qaiser said, he place three demands in front of CM Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah including, sealing of the hospital, arrest of the owners and formation of judicial inquiry to probe the matter.
“Only first demand of sealing the hospital was met, others remain unaddressed”, he said.
Shunning the impression of pressure from any political party, Nishwa’s father said he will initiate protest movement from tomorrow, if the remaining two demands were not met.
Nishwa, was paralysed due to a ‘wrong injection’ given to her by the ‘untrained nursing staff’ of Darul Sehat Hospital.
After battling for her life for past eight days, nine-month-old Nishwa breathed her last on Monday morning at Liaquat National Hospital in Karachi on April 22.
Taking strong exception of Nishwa’s death, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah on April 24, had ordered to seal the hospital.
