DERA GHAZI KHAN: Commandant of Pakistan Rangers, Punjab, Brigadier Arshad Mehmood says more than 250 criminals had been arrested and 10 terrorists had so far been killed in the Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad in last 45 days in DG Khan.

Addressing a press conference here, the senior Rangers official said no more no-go areas exist in the country anymore.

Mentioning the law enforcers operation in DG Khan, he said the government’s writ in the tribal area near Dera Ghazi Khan was missing, but security operations have helped in its restoration.

He was of the view that terrorists killed in the tribal area near DG Khan had been involved in terror activities and abduction for ransom. He also added that the terrorists also facilitated Balochistan separatists and TTP operatives.

He said that action was being taken on the basis of intelligence gathered by the security agencies.

A large cache of illegal arms and ammunition had been seized from the arrested criminals and terrorists and 137 cases of illegal arms had been registered against them.
