SRINAGAR: On the martyrdom of six youth on Sunday, a complete shutter down strike is being observed in the Indian held Kashmir on Monday.

According to details, the call of strike was given by Hurriyat leaders against the barbarism of Indian troops in the occupied valley which recently claimed the lives of six youngsters in Shopian district.

The youth were killed by Indian occupational forces during the so-called cordon and search operation of Shopian district.

The Kashmir Media Service further reported that following the incident, an unannounced curfew was imposed in the area, while internet and mobile services were also suspended by Indian authorities.

Three days earlier, Indian occupation forces had martyred six more Kashmiri youth in Islamabad district of the held valley during a cordon and search operation in Bijbehara area of Islamabad district.

Minister for Kashmir Affairs Ali Amin Khan Gandapur had also condemned the fresh wave of killing of innocent Kashmiris in the occupied Kashmir by Indian troops.

Condemning the killings in Shopian, the minister asked for resolution of the issue in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions.

He said Pakistan believed in peaceful neighbourhood but everyone knows that India rejected the offer of talks. He said India should come to negotiating table for peacefully resolving all bilateral disputes.
