Persistently scorching weather to cool down in Karachi from tomorrow

KARACHI: The temperature in Karachi hovering between 39-41 degree Celsius on third day of the extremely hot weather on Thursday (today).
The MET office has predicted some relief for the citizens from Friday (tomorrow) when sea breeze will likely to blow in the metropolis cooling down the searing temperatures.
In its weather forecast for Friday, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted that sea breeze will cool down the sizzling temperature in the city to some extent marking an end to the ongoing heat wave in the metropolis. The maximum temperature tomorrow will be recorded between 36-38 degree Celsius in Karachi, the met office said.
The mercury on Wednesday soared to 46 degrees Celsius in the city, making it the hottest day of the city in year 2018. According to weather experts, Karachi witnessed the hottest day with 46 degree Celsius after 80 years, when in May 1938 the temperature had hit up to 47 degree Celsius.
Interior Sindh, Punjab and KPK will continue to experience searing temperature today. Hyderabad is burning with 43-45 degree Celsius, Islamabad with 41-43 degree Celsius, Lahore with 42-44 degree Celsius and Peshawar with 41-43 degree Celsius, the weather department said.
