PIA issues show-cause notice to ‘missing’ air hostess

KARACHI: The administration of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) has served a show-cause notice to an air hostess that had gone missing in Paris, ARY News reported.

According to PIA spokesperson, the notice was served to the crew member after she disappeared from work without prior information to the high-ups.

He said further action would be taken after her reply to the show-cause notice.

A case of her missing has been registered in Paris on the complaint of PIA’s Station manager.

The sources further added that Shazia had left a letter of resignation behind her in her hotel room, whereas the PIA spokesperson has denied such reports.

“The authorities have launched an investigation into the matter”, the spokesperson continued.

In September, 2018, another flight attendant of the PIA namely Fareeha had disappeared mysteriously after a flight carrying passengers landed in Canada’s Toronto city. According to PIA spokesperson, air hostess, Fareeha Mukhtar, had boarded the PIA flight PK-789 from Lahore but as soon as it landed in Toronto, she disappeared mysteriously and never boarded the return flight.
