PIA sacks 20 daily-wage workers, over 150 served notices

Sources said that a total of 165 employees have been served notices, out of which 26 were issued notices on Thursday. Those served notices included Nasrullah Khan, president of association of air hosts, Captain Sohail, general secretary of Pakistan Airline Pilots’ Association (Palpa) and vice president Palpa, Captain Sadiqur Rehman.

The administration also sacked 20 staffers working on daily-wage basis.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) strongly condemned the move and demanded immediate restoration of all employees, according to a press statement issued by PPP information secretary Waqar Mehdi.
