PM Imran invites Malaysian investors to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has invited the Malaysian entrepreneurs to take advantage of lucrative investment opportunities in Pakistan. 

He made the offer while interacting with Malaysian investors during his visit to Kuala Lumpur.

The prime minister assured the investors of his government’s full support saying that Chairman of the Board of Investment would assure smooth and speedy initiation of the projects.

The Malaysian investors expressed their keen interest to invest in different sectors in Pakistan including education, technology,  telecommunication, E-governance, the Prime Minister’s affordable housing scheme, solid waste management, renewable energy, gemstone, heavy industries besides Halal food products, E-commerce and tourism industry.

The Malaysian investors also expressed confidence in Pakistan’s market potential noting that the investment policy of the country is one of the most liberal in the region.

In his address to Pakistani community in Kuala Lampur on Nov 21, Prime Minister Khan said that the current government’s priority was to get investments from abroad to guide country out of the present crises.

Lauding the steps taken by Malaysia to curb money laundering, the premier said that nobody could involve in money laundering here in Malaysia, which is quite unlike the case in Pakistan, “Malaysia is lucky to have a leader like, Mahathir Mohamad who rooted out the corruption from the country.

“We will make money laundering very difficult for people in Pakistan,” reiterated the PM.
