PM Imran Khan inaugurates four new trains

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday said the underprivileged section of the society and common man use trains for their daily commute.

Addressing the ceremony to inaugurate four new trains, the prime minister congratulated the minister for taking steps to ease commute of the common men.

Linking the country’s growth with the focus on underprivileged section, Imran Khan said government is utilizing all of its available resources to change ‘life’ of common men.

Recalling the today’s attack at the Chinese consulate that was foiled by the security agencies, Mr. Khan said “conspiracies are being hatched to harm China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The premier, while paying tribute to the security forces, reiterated his resolve to root-out menace of terrorism from the country.

Earlier, addressing the ceremony, the minister for railways said steps are being taken for the revival of the railways, adding that work will start on ML-1 project by December 25.

Mr. Rasheed maintained, Wifi facility has been provided in the divisional headquarters of Pakistan railways.

Four new trains that were inaugurated today include,  Sindh Express, Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai Express, Faisalabad Express and Rehman Baba Express.

Sindh express will run between the route of Karachi to Sukkur, Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai express will be plied between Karachi to Mirpurkhas, while Faisalabad and Rehman Baba trains will run from Peshawar to Karachi, said the spokesperson of Pakistan Railways.

“Target of adding 10 new trains to the fleet of Pakistan railways within first 100 days of the government, a target set by the railways minister, Sheikh Rasheed, will be accomplished “, he continued.
