PM Imran Khan to inaugurate shelter home in KP next week

PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate a shelter home in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) next week to provide accommodation facilities to homeless people.

According to the details, under the directions of PM Imran, KP government is setting up shelter homes near bus stands, Charsadda, Kohat and other areas to facilitate the poor.

A government official said that a high-standard shelter home is ready to be inaugurated at Pachgi Road in Peshawar and added that the premier will inaugurate the shelter home during his visit to KP next week.  The shelter home will facilitate around 150 to 200 people.

PM Imran lays foundation stone of shelter home in Lahore

It is pertinent to mention here that PM Imran Khan, on November 10, had laid the foundation of the shelter home project in Punjab province’s Lahore city.

The project is aimed at housing a number of homeless people who usually spend nights on footpaths or other places in different areas of Lahore city.

Addressing the ceremony, the PM said that his party’s aim is to turn Pakistan into a welfare state and the target cannot be achieved without helping the poor segments of the society.
