LAHORE: Punjab Information and Culture Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will rid the country of thieves.

Addressing a ceremony in Lahore, Fayyazul Hassan said that former prime ministers Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari had promoted corruption in the country.

He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) government under the leadership of Imran Khan stopped the culture of corruption, therefore conspiracies were being hatched against the incumbent government.

While talking about Kartarpur corridor, Chohan said that Sikhs from all over the world were happy and hailing Pakistan’s initiative. He ruled out Indian negative propaganda about the corridor and said that Indian Sikhs will not support Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the next general elections.

It is pertinent to mention here that Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on November 28 had slammed Indian media’s ‘myopic’ coverage.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa had met all guests at the groundbreaking ceremony of Kartarpur corridor, the ISPR had said while hitting out at what it said Indian media’s myopic view of the event.

“Indian media taking a myopic view is selectively showing Mr. Gopal Chawla meeting COAS. Army Chief met all guests at the venue irrespective of identity. A peace initiative should not be subjected to propaganda,” the military’s media wing had said.
