PPP activist who hurled shoe at ex-CM dies in road mishap

KARACHI: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) activist, who had hurled a shoe at former Sindh chief minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, died in a road accident in Karachi on Sunday.

As per details, Dr Agha Javed, who is the elder brother of PPP leader Agha Majid, lost his life in the accident near Punjab Chowrangi.

PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed sorrow over the demise of the party activist and extended condolences to the bereaved family.

In April, 2008, the PPP worker had hurled a shoe at Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim who was physically attacked by some political workers as he left the Sindh Assembly after taking oath as member of the provincial legislature.
