Sindh Rangers officials claim to have recovered a huge cache of arms from Shah Faisal Colony in the city.

They said the raid was conducted after they received information that highly dangerous weapons were under the use of a militant wing of a political party, meant for spreading terror in the city.

Arms recovered included RPG-7, rocket launchers, heavy machine guns, Rifle G-3, SMGs. 7MM Rifles and more than 18,00 magazines and other arms and ammunitions, said Rangers spokesperson.

In another raid, Rangers personnel recovered more arms from an abandoned plot on Burns Road.

At least 10 officials were also apprehended from Lines Area during a door-to-door search operation.

Repeating Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s commitment to maintaining law and order situation in the metropolis, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said the Karachi operation would continue at any cost.

Defence Minister and PML-N’s Khawaja Asif said, “Our soldiers’ martyrdom cannot lower our will to fight against terror and terror elements. Peace in the country is out of a question, without peace in Karachi.”

Meanwhile, Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad has asked police officials to arrest those responsible for killing two of the Pakistan army officials at the earliest.
