President Arif Alvi reaches Quetta on day long visit
QUETTA: President Dr Arif Alvi has reached Quetta on a day-long visit, ARY NEWS reported on Wednesday.
During his visit of Balochistan’s provincial capital, the President is scheduled to hold meetings with the Governor, Chief Minister, provincial ministers and the members of opposition.
President Alvi will also address the members of Balochistan Assembly and will discuss the overall situation of the province with them.
The President will also offer condolences to Deputy Speaker National Assembly Muhammad Qasim Suri on the sad demise of his mother.
Security has been beefed-up in Quetta in the wake of President’s day-long visit to avoid any untoward situation.
It may be recalled that mother of Qasim Suri, the deputy speaker National Assembly passed away on November 11 after a long battle with cancer.
Her funeral prayer were offered in Quetta at the Cantonment Graveyard.
Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani and other political leaders had expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of the mother of Qasim Suri.
