PM Imran leaves for Malaysia on two-day visit

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday left for Kuala Lumpur on a two-day official visit to Malaysia, ARY  NEWS reported.

The prime minister is accompanied by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Finance Minister Asad Umer, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry.

During his two days visit, prime minister is scheduled to hold talks with his Malaysian counterpart and other state officials focusing on the promotion of economic cooperation between the two Islamic countries.

According to well-informed sources the prime minister is also expected to receive a briefing on Malaysia’s model for fastest development. Moreover, discussion will be held how Pakistan can benefit from the experiences and exposure of Malaysia during its journey towards economic prosperity, said sources privy to the matter.

PM Khan was previously scheduled to fly to Malaysia on October 28 but the trip delayed due to busy schedule of the premier

Mr. Khan recently visited countries like China, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

It is pertinent to mention here that PM Imran, in a recent telephonic conversation with his Malaysian counterpart, appreciated the initiatives taken by Kuala Lumpur to ameliorate the economic scenario of the Southeast Asian country.

Imran Khan had also highlighted the need of delegations exchanges between the two countries and collaboration at an operational level to benefit from each other’s expertise.
