Private hospitals near LoC to provide free services

BHIMBER: In the wake of Indian forces’ ceasefire violation, all the private hospitals near the Line of Control (LoC) on Wednesday announced to provide free medical and health services, ARY News reported.

Drug Inspector Zaheer Iqbal said surgeon Dr Anwer along his team announced to perform their duties round the clock.

The drug inspector said all the pharmacies would be kept open in emergency situation.

He said doctors and staff were present at Bundala, Samahni and other areas.

Zaheer Iqbal said local people had given full assurance for provision of medicines and donation of blood.

Amid escalating tension between Pakistan and India following the Pulwama attack, at least four civilians including a child were martyred on Wednesday in an unprovoked Indian forces firing along the LoC.

Pakistani troops at forward positions on LoC effectively responded to the Indian aggression.

Four persons including three women and a child were martyred and 11 other civilians were injured and transferred to hospitals, sources said.

Indian troops targeted civilian population along different sectors of the LoC, sources said. The enemy forces resorted to shelling on civil population at Abbaspur, Chharoi, Khoi Ratta, Nathial, Darra Sher Khan, Bhimber and Chhamb sector, reports said.

The enemy forces used light and heavy artillery to target the civilian population,  reports said.

According to reports, casualties took place in Charhoti, Fatehpur Thakiala and Khoi Ratta tehsils.
