Chaudhry has also been awarded a party ticket for NA-63 from his ancestral hometown of Jhelum.
He made the announcement where he said that he is grateful to PTI Chairman Imran Khan for admitting him in the party.

Chaudhry is also a prominent lawyer and has his own law firm. He is best known as the spokesman for former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf. He has also served as Secretary General of the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML).
Despite being known as loyalist and companion of Musharaf, he left due to personal differences with the party. Later, he joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). He is also a prominent analyst on various television channels.
