According to details, a meeting of the PTI core committee was held here during which senior leadership held prolonged consultation on the political situation of the country, after which it decided to resign from the National Assembly and the provincial assemblies of Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan.

Talking to media after the meeting, Shah Mehmood Qureshi showed the resignations of all the PTI members and said that PTI will now do the politics on public issues. He said that we will make this campaign a success story.

The PTI leader however told that consultation is underway regarding the dissolution of KP Assembly, adding, “It is a coalition government there and we need to consult our allies prior to making such a decision”.

The core committee gave the right of all the decisions to the party chief, Imran Khan, while the PTI’s ‘charter of demands’ was also finalized during the meeting.

Qureshi said we opted for all the legal ways against the worst rigging of elections, but justice was not served from anywhere.

He said after failing to get the reservations addressed by the election tribunals, parliament, judiciary, PTI decided to check the pulse of the people and for this purpose it held several public rallies in the largest province of the country, where from comes the highest number of seats in the National Assembly.

The PTI vice president said political pundits had warned us that an entire year has passed and people will not be attracted towards this idea, but the people of Pakistan supported our protest against irregularities in elections.

He said we searched out 13 constituencies and came to know that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) not independent, while the caretaker governments were also formed by the two major parties, not through consultation across the board.
