PTI laid foundation of transparent, vibrant Pakistan: CM Buzdar

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Wednesday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) led government laid the foundation of a transparent and vibrant Pakistan.

Talking to a group of lawmakers, who called on him today, Usman Buzdar said that Pakistan had started its journey towards the destination of a new Pakistan under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

According to a statement released from his office, he said, “We are working day and night to come up with the expectations of the nation.”

The chief minister said that no obstruction would be allowed to hinder the agenda of national development and prosperity of the people and added that the 22 crore people of Pakistan were well aware that who wasted national resources in the name of exhibitory projects.

He said that the plunderers of hard-earned money of the people would have to be accountable for their deeds.

Usman Buzdar regretted that national exchequer was mercilessly looted during the previous tenures and added that the bank balances of those who bankrupted the country were increased but the country could not move forward.

He said that the former government was responsible for the deteriorated economic conditions and added that a composite program had been launched to improve the quality of life of the people.

The chief minister regretted that the past governments showed criminal negligence by ignoring the problems of the general public. He said, “Our government is going to introduce a new local bodies system to help solve the problems of the citizens at their doorsteps.

He said that they had come into power to serve the masses and added that they did not have any other peculiar agenda like that of past rulers.

The foundations of the country were weakened due to the corruption of previous tenures, he said.
