ISLAMABAD: Realising the grave situation of the economy, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Monday said the new government would hold open discussion on economic condition of Pakistan in the parliament, ARY News reported.

“Pakistan is facing several challenges and economy is the biggest challenge facing the country,” he said while talking to media outside Bani Gala in Islamabad.

He said honoring the parliament was part of PTI’s policy and their government would keep seeking guidance from it.

The PTI vice president said the government would devise a policy on Pakistani economy and water crisis.

On election of speaker and deputy speaker of the National Assembly, he said every member of the NA had the right to cast vote for speaker of their choice. He said true politicians accept the results.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said the PTI had convened a parliamentary meeting of Punjab on August 15, which would be attended by Chaudhry Pervez Elahi and other parliamentary leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Q.

He also said the coalition between the Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz was unnatural.

The veteran PTI leader told that Saudi Arabian King phoned Imran Khan, congratulated him and invited him to visit the country.
