PTI leader hopes Panama case will reach logical conclusion by week’s end

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesman Fawad Chaudhry on Sunday said the Panama Papers case will hopefully reach is logical conclusion by the end of the week.

Addressing a press conference, he said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has still not submitted any objection to the Joint Investigation Team’s report.

“We hope the Panama case will reach its logical conclusion by the end of the week,” he said.

He said the assets of Nawaz Sharif started to rise gradually after he came to power in the 1990s, and money continued to flow out of Pakistan through a organised network.

He added that the prime minister received gifts worth one billion rupees between 2010-2015. “He gifted Rs82 million to Maryam who then gifted it back to Nawaz,” he claimed.

Fawad Chaudhry also claimed that Nawaz Sharif used his party Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) as a tool to whiten his ill-gotten wealth.

He said the Hussain Nawaz owns thirteen companies as revealed in the JIT report which includes nine loss-making companies.

The PTI leader said those defending the Sharif family should defend the country first. “Everyone must be held accountable but it should start from the ruling party,” he maintained.

He advised others who were calling the report a conspiracy to first read the report. “When the Urdu translation of the JIT report is out, it will be clear what ‘seems/likely’ means,” he said.

He also hinted that there was reports of a change in leadership with the PML-N.

Nawaz is ‘closet dictator’, says Imran 

Imran Khan on Sunday said the government running scared of PTI. Earlier, a private closed-door event of the PTI being held in Sector E-11 was stopped by Police.

“PMLN’s fascism reveals itself again,” he tweeted and strongly condemning the act.

He said Nawaz Sharif used democracy as a tool to save his corruption. He said the the premier was ‘closet dictator’ and has been exposed by his actions.
