Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray is speculating another Pulwama-like attack in the future ahead of general elections in India.

Linking terror attacks in India with electoral victory, MNS chief claimed that warnings were issued by intelligence agencies prior to the Pulwama attack, but the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government chose to ignore the threats.

Addressing party workers on the 13th Foundation Day of the MNS, the firebrand leader said “40 jawans [soldiers] were martyred in the Pulwama attack. Should we still not ask questions?, Indian media reported.

Taking aim at the BJP president Amit Shah’s statement over the number of casualties in the Balakot strike, Thackeray questioned sharply, “Was Shah one of the ‘co-pilots’ who took part in the air strike?”

He further said the Indian Air Force “missed” targets while conducting air strikes on Balakot as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government had provided misleading information.

“This is being done to win upcoming polls,” the MNS chief said, revealing the schemes of the BJP. “There will be another Pulwama like attack within the next 1-2 months,” he predicted.
