Punjab chief minister presents 100-day performance report

LAHORE: Presenting his 100-day performance report, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar it was time that we built the ‘New Pakistan’, ARY News reported.

“Accepting the post of chief minister was an honour as well as a challenge for me,” he said, while detailing the PM about his performance in the first 100 days, adding that Imran Khan smashed the status quo by appointing someone from a less-developed district on this crucial post.

On carving out a separate province in Punjab, Usman Buzdar said an executive council had been constituted for creating South Punjab and the first secretariat in South Punjab would begin its work from July 1 next year.

He said on directive of the PM temporary shelter homes had been set up on one point, while four more such structures would be erected on five different places in Punjab.

“Apna Ghar (own house) project has been launched under Prime Minister Housing Scheme,” he also said.

The Punjab chief minister said for the first time in the history, 30 percent development funds were transferred to the local bodies department.

Briefing on different other projects, he said four technical universities were being established. Sehat Insaf Card was being expanded and approval was being given for hiring on vacant seats in the health sector.

Projects including constructing new hospitals, reforming education would be completed at the earliest, he added.

On Clean & Green Pakistan campaign, he said 12.5 million saplings had been planted in 100 days.

Unprecedentedly, advisory council had been formed in Punjab for good governance, Buzdar apprised the audience.

Earlier, PM Imran lauded the 100-day performance of Punjab government and appreciated its determination of fair distribution of funds. Appreciating the honesty of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman, the prime minister said that no one told him that the chief minister is involve in corruption.
