Operation Radd-ul-Fasad: 12 suspects rounded up in Balochistan

RAWALPINDI: Twelve suspects were apprehended in joint operations carried out by  Frontier Constabulary (FC) Balochistan and Police  under Operation Radd-ul-Fasad in different parts of the province, said the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

“FC Balochistan and Police conducted sanitization operation in Killi Deba area of Quetta. Eleven suspects were apprehended and 192 various types of weapons along with ammunition were seized during the operation,” ISPR, the military’s media wing, said in a statement.

It added the security forces arrested a wanted suspect in an intelligence based operation in killi Segi area of Killa Abdullah district. He is being interrogated by the law enforcement agencies.

The forces set up four medical camps in these areas which provided medical treatment to 2420 patients, the ISPR statement further said.

Earlier on July 29, the security forces had apprehended 42 suspected facilitators of terrorists in joint operations carried out by Pakistan Rangers Punjab and Counter Terrorism Department of Punjab police in Punjab province.

Forty-two suspects were apprehended from Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore. The apprehended individuals are suspected of harbouring, and providing shelter to terrorists in the suburbs of Lahore and Islamabad, the ISPR said in a statement.
