Ranbir and Deepika reignite magical on-screen chemistry in 'Tamasha' trailer

Ever since people got wind of Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor returning as an on-screen couple after their smash-hit 2013 flick Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, fans were anxiously awaiting the release of their film. Everyone got a taste of what the movie would be like yesterday, when Tamasha‘s trailer was released.

‘What happens in Corsica, stays in Corsica’, exclaim both the characters in the trailer of the film and that too, seems to be the motto of the film. Deepika Padukone plays Tara, an independent and free-spirited lady who aspires to travel the world and live it up. Ranbir Kapoor is Ved Sahni, an engineer by profession, who does everything expected of him, till he finds solace in his partner-in-crime Tara.

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor have undeniable chemistry in the film, as is the case always. However, from the looks of it, the movie is set to be of a similar nature just like Imtiaz Ali’s previous flick Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s relationship hit rock bottom at one point in the film, when Tara realizes that she fell in love with Ved, when in reality he’s quite a different person altogether.

The movie is a crucial one for both Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor, for opposite reasons. Deepika needs to follow up her string of successes and establish her dominance in the Indian film industry. Whereas Ranbir Kapoor desperately needs a hit after so many consecutive box office bombs. Ranbir Kapoor’s recent three films Besharam, Roy and Bombay Velvet received horrendous reviews and failed to rake in a large amount at the box office.

The movie also gathered quite a response on micro-blogging site Twitter. Here are a couple of tweets:-

Will Tamasha be able to register a comeback fro Ranbir Kapoor and turn out to be yet another feather in Deepika Padukone’s cap? Or will Ranbir’s downfall also plunge Deepika into failure as well? We’ll know for sure when the movie releases on November 27!
