The personnel besieged the residence of the CPLC chief before approaching his house gate.
The Rangers raided Chinoy’s home over his purported connections with elements involved in abduction for ransom. Sources told that Rs 1.5 million were also recovered from his house, which was believed to be ransom amount.
On the other side, Chinoy said he would not term the Rangers’ investigation as ‘raid’ on his house, instead it was their ‘visit’.
He said he answered Rangers about the queries. The CPLC chief also denied having any contacts with criminals and recovery of ransom amount from his place.
