MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan spoke about maintaining peaceful relations between India and Pakistan.
In a recently held press conference, he said that the action taken towards terrorists is justified, but Pakistani artists are not terrorists.
“They (Pakistani actors) are artists, not terrorists. It’s the government who gives them permits and visas,” said Salman Khan.
Hindu right-wing extremists organisations such as Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, led by Raj Thackeray, have threatened to will stall the release of every film that has Pakistani actors in it.
Mumbai-based Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA), on Friday, had even passed a resolution to ban Pakistani actors from the industry in the wake of the Uri attack.
