LAHORE: Playing down any differences with Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid in the province, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar says Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s coalition partners are like a family, hence anyone shouldn’t make a mountain out of a molehill, ARY News reported.

Talking to media in Lahore today, Mr. Sarwar said: “We will listen to any reservation that our allies want to convey.”

He asserted that he had old family terms with Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, who is now Speaker of the Punjab Assembly.

A video was going rounds on the social media showing leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Chaudhry Pervez Elhai alleging that Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar is not letting Chief Minister Usman Buzdar exercise his constitutional powers freely.

PML-Q leaders Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Federal Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema are seen to be moaning about Chaudhry Sarwar to PTI’s former secretary general Jahangir Tareen at the former’s residence. They were heard saying in the video that Sarwar was not letting Buzdar do his job.

He said teams were working and soon a visible change would be felt. Country cannot be prosperous until elimination of corruption, he added.

“We don’t have magic wand to resolve problems of 70 years instantly,” said Sarwar.

The governor said his party had produced all its leaders for accountability before the public.
